Our open-house is set for September 12th with a “Meet ‘n Greet” that will allow both students and parents to meet their teachers, enjoy some fellowship, and some snacks. However, please understand that the health and safety of our students and the entire St. George community remains our number one priority. We will continue to adhere to both CDC and local government Covid guidelines. It is for that reason, the exact details of our open-house will be disclosed as the date draws near.

In order to be properly prepared, we ask that you help by registering your child on or before September 12th. You may register online through our website or in person at the open-house or simply email at sundayschool@saintgeorge.org. Please understand that a nominal registration fee of $10 per child will be asked to help support certain needs of our Sunday school which can be from supplies to snacks. If you are not able for whatever the reason, PLEASE know this fee is NOT mandatory for your child to attend Sunday school. In addition, students must be at least 4 years of age for our elementary school and our high school age will be extended to 19 years of age.

We believe that an effective church school should be based on the philosophy of “Parental Partnership.” We will remain focused on building an extension of the primary parental responsibility for the spiritual education of our children. As well as, to help mold the lives of our children in the Orthodox Christian Faith by the Orthodox teachings of the Holy Scriptures and Traditions with the consciousness to live a Christ-centered life through worship, service, and fellowship.

We encourage all parents to communicate their ideas, suggestions and/or comments to help build bridges of community among parents, children, and staff. And together, may we enrich our children in the teachings of Christ.

On behalf of Father John, your Sunday School staff, and myself – we are looking forward to a successful school year! May God Bless you all!

In Christ,

Rose Fakhoury
